Case research into the actual conditions of the Korean baby boomer generation¡¯s vulnerable class
For the following study, numerous in-depth one-on-one interviews were conducted with ten households from female baby boomers in their late 40s to 50s selected as participants. Because the research process consisted of analyzing and finding significant changes in the participants¡¯ life histories, a thorough qualitative research process was vital. In line with this, field-related specialists headed the process and over four lectures/debates were arranged in which the study participants actively particpated. To further enhance the quality of the study, a seat was also planned to discuss and receive consultation from not only those currently active in researching the baby boomer generation but also various experts and professionals from different fields.
Furthermore, additional research data and materials held by the foundation were statistically integrated into the current study¡¯s research. In addition to analyzing the actual conditions of women in the vulnerable class, various empirical research processes were used and the communication problems of those women within the baby boomer generation were analyzed in depth.
