International workshop on "The Challenge of Risk Society and the Future of East Asia: Searching for Participatory Risk Governance" was co-hosted by EARN, the Joongmin Foundation for Social Theory, and The Seoul Institute (where the event was also held). Esteemed scholars from Europe and East Asia gathered to engage in academic discourse over a wide range of topics. Opening addresses were given by prominent figures such as the presidents of The Seoul Institute, the Korean Sociological Association, and the Korean Society for Social Theory.
