Joongmin Foundation for Social Theory hosted the 30th Anniversary Symposium on the 'Joongmin Theory' proposed by Professor Sang-Jin Han in the 1980s. Experts from Korea and foreign guests from China were present at the symposium to discuss the state of the 'joongmin'(中民, middling grassroots) in the polarized society as well as the far-reaching implications of the theory itself. There were also firsthand accounts from those who have personally experienced being part of 'joongmin'.
