Joongmin Foundation, Seoul Institute and Institute for Social Development and Policy Research co-hosted international conference of “The Challenge of Risk Society and Seoul Initiative: Participatory Risk Governance and Monitory Democracy” on November 23-25, 2015. On the first day, esteemed scholars from Europe and East Asia presented and discussed various results of the research project of “The Challenge of Risk Society and Seoul Initiative: Participatory Risk Governance”. On the second day, policy recommendations for participatory risk governance and monitory democracy were delivered to Seoul Mayor Park Won-Soon. Also round-table discussion was held three times during this conference.
