During June 25th to 29th 2019, Professor Sang-Jin Han participated in the seminar "Residential seminar Toward a non-hegemonic world sociology" held in Saint-Ernilion, France. In the seminar, Macé Eric (Professeur de sociologie, UMR Centre Émile Durkheim, Université de Bordeaux, France), Dufoix Stéphane (Professeur de sociologie, Université Paris-Nanterre, France), Go Julian (Professor of sociology, Boston University, Etats-Unis), Connell Raewyn (Professor of sociology, University of Sydney, Australia) attended. Majority of participants indicated and admitted the argument that there are criticisms of western-centric hegemony and many other hegemonies (nationalist, religion, ideology, etc) which interrupts sociological reasoning and its critical dimensions. The shared discussion and idea will be published in book, later. |
